You all heard, that the way we live is destroying the planet.
If we continue like this, future generations will not have a place to live as we do not have a Planet B.
If we don’t do anything, WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!
Being a truant, blocking highways, damaging art, gluing yourself to a wall/table/floor can get you the attention but will not solve anything.
Humans are a weak tropical species. Our thermal comfort lays between 19Β°C and 27Β°C. Prolonged exposure to the elements and lack of thermal control will kill us much faster than a shortage of food or water. We become the apex predator of this planet by using extra energy. If we want to keep 95%+ of Earth’s population alive, we need energy. A lot of it.
The problem is, that our energy need grown so much, that it is influencing the climate by emitting green house gases as a side effect.
We a sustainable energy source, which
- Uses the least amount of land per unit of energy
- Emits the least amount of green house gasses per unit of energy
- Has the least amount of raw material needed per unit of energy
- Provides the highest energy return on energy invested
- Reliable, therefore does not need fossil fuel backup
- Can be built in almost every country
There is only one energy source, which can tick all the above boxes is nuclear.
